Jared Swan, one of the newest additions to The Hose Company's Market Development Team. "Jared is a true force to within the pressure washing, hydraulic and industrial hose industries. Passionate and genuine, Jared's excitement for the industry is unbounding. Born in Greenville, SC, Jared comes from a long line of Carolina tobacco farmers and learned from a young age what it takes to get a job to the finish line. When he was 15, Swan's family moved to Hawaii, where Jared was immersed in a new educational system, working a job and figuring out island life. He was quickly promoted to manager as he finished his educational journey on the island but continued to venture further.
After returning to the mainland and moving back to the Carolinas, Jared explored a degree in Networking and Security Management. It was a very special professor that helped him see that he was a leader to those around him. Jared took that as the ultimate sign to find a new path in life. Jared took his blessing and communication skills to the next level working in sales, management and business development from established companies to start-ups.
One of the most extensive experience Jared has engaged in was owning his personal pressure washing business. This opportunity leaned on all his skills in understanding the power of Google, social media and most importantly the lasting friendships that continue to guide him in our industry.
His relationships and skills were a springboard into his next adventure as the marketing guru at a newbie reseller for pressure washing equipment in Florida. During this venture, Jared mindfully created the company's web presence and developed an eCommerce site- bringing in over a million dollars in their first year. After being told, he was going to have to opportunity at ownership in this company, he was asked to leverage the suppliers to reduce this company's freight costs, which quickly raised the company profits. But as time passed and this company grew, all talks diminished on his ownership in that venture.
Jared has always followed his passion, stating that his "heart needs to be in it". He enjoys and thrives on working with others who lift each other up, which is why when the opportunity arose to work with Pollyanna Cunningham, a known ,marketing executive who deploys industry leading educational events and more in the Pile Driving and Drilling industry, Jared was driven to participate.
"When asked about how Jared planned to use his knowledge to help our distributors grow their networks and business, Jared said no company ever asked me that..." states Pollyanna. "Jared has a focus and that is very important to our THC values of developing our distributors and helping them grow exponentially. Our purpose is to help these personally owned businesses enable their customers via educational programming and service while offering a superior product. Jared will fit right in as first an educator and second a marketing guru..."
When Jared is not working, he likes to spend time with his two sons (Josiah & Judah), age 9 and 12 and his fiancé Alana. Jared's family is his pride and joy, and he takes the role of "dad" as the best title on earth. He also enjoys online PVP Competitive Video Game playing, racing motorcycles, tinkering with cars, traveling to car shows and adventuring.
Jared's favorite quote, "Never let your mouth write checks that your character can't cash," Jared thinks about this quote to help him stay true to himself & the THC team. "It is a check in to make sure we always make best faith efforts to not just deliver but over deliver."
