Custom / Assembled Orders

If the product ordered must be brand specific contact us and your account will be noted to insure that each order is handled the same way. Pricing is based on our best source and the charged price may be adjusted to cover your specific brand request. 

Any custom assembled order is not refundable unless The Hose Company Management or it's supplier deems it is a faulty part.  Please see product warranty and return policy for further details.

Customer Communication

Thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company may deliver notice to you by means of e-mail, a general notice on the site, or by other reliable method to the address you have provided to thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company.

Harassment

Harassment in any manner or form on the site, including via e-mail, chat or by use of obscene or abusive language, is strictly forbidden. Impersonation of others, including thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company or other licensed employee, host or representative, as well as other members or visitors on the site is prohibited.

Thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company does not review all communications and materials posted to or created by users accessing the site and is not in any manner responsible for the content of these communications and materials. You acknowledge that by providing you with the ability to view and distribute user-generated content on the site, thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company is merely acting as a passive conduit for such distribution and is not undertaking any obligation or liability relating to any contents or activities on the site.

However, Thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company reserves the right to block or remove communications or materials that it determines to be (a) abusive, defamatory, or obscene, (b) fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading, (c) in violation of a copyright, trademark or; other intellectual property right of another or (d) offensive or otherwise unacceptable to thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company in its sole discretion.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors and suppliers (collectively the "Service Providers") from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation of these terms and conditions or any activity related to your account (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or any other person accessing the site using your Internet account.

Inventory Overview

From our experience in the heavy equipment and contracting business we know you need them now.  We strive to keep good stock of the most common hose and fittings.  We attempt to keep this inventory report as current as possible but it may not reflect exact quantities.  If you are in a time sensitive situation, please call us at 800-698-5754 and let us quote you on delivery time.

Online Privacy Policy

This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through our website and not to information collected offline.  We collect information from you when you register on the site, place an order, respond to a survey or communication such as e-mail, or participate in another site feature.

When ordering or registering, we may ask you for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

If you have opted-in to receive our e-mail newsletter, we may send you periodic e-mails. If you would no longer like to receive promotional e-mail from us, please refer to the OPT-OUT area once you log into "My Account".  If you have not opted-in to receive e-mail newsletters, you will not receive these e-mails. Visitors who register or participate in other site features such as marketing programs and 'members-only' content will be given a choice whether they would like to be on our e-mail list and receive e-mail communications from us.

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.  When you place orders or access your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server.  All sensitive/credit information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our databases to be only accessed as stated above.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information unless we provide you with advance notice, except as described below.  The term "outside parties" does not include thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company.  It also does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.  We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety.

To modify your e-mail subscriptions, please let us know by modifying your preferences in the "My Account" section. Please note that due to email production schedules you may receive any emails already in production.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page. Policy changes will apply only to information collected after the date of the change. This policy was last modified 1/14/2016.  By using our site, you consent to our privacy policy.

Payment Policy

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover. 

Any accounts turned over for collection are charged with an 18% finance charge + 29% collection fees and any attorney and court costs in addition to the past due amount. Accounts are turned over for collections at 60-days from first date of invoice.  All collection court cases will be heard in the state of North Carolina at the expense of the customer.

Product Warranty

Thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company shall be held harmless from any liquidated, real, or consequential damages resulting from the installation of any Thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company product. Parts selection or approval shall be the sole responsibility of the customer.

Damage from abuse, mishandling, improper installation, atmospheric abnormalities, water immersion, lightning or power surges, or damage sustained during shipping is not covered under this warranty.
All parts are warranted for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase against defects in materials or workmanship.  All products must be returned for warranty claim and must be shipped freight pre-paid by customer.  If thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company deems the product defective, we will repair or replace the product promptly at our option per the original specifications.

Goods not manufactured or not repaired by us are not subject to any warranty offered by Thehosecompany.com or The Hose Company.  We reserve the right to disclaim any warranty expressed or implied, that the goods are merchantable or that the goods are fit for any particular purpose.

Company liability shall be strictly limited to the repair or replacement of any product after it has been evaluated and deemed by The Hose Company to be covered by warranty.  Liability will be further limited to the cost of the original purchase price.   This warranty is the only warranty applicable to the goods purchased hereunder and is expressly in lieu of any warranties or merchantability of fitness for a particular purpose.   We shall not be liable for labor, loss of product, special or consequential damage.

Returns Policy

All Returns
Thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company requires a Return Materials Authorization RMA # to be issued for all returns.  The parts must be accompanied by a copy of the packing list and be in re-sellable condition.  The return package can be sent using any carrier and must be prepaid by customer.  The Hose Company strongly recommends client to obtain a tracking number and delivery confirmation from the carrier to assure timely delivery.  Credit will be issued once the material is sent back to the manufacturer (The Hose Company or The Hose Company Supplier) Credit is issued at the time of inspection, please allow 10 business days from the time the shipment is received in the warehouse.  Credit does not apply to custom orders.

Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
Outgoing or incoming freight charges are not covered.
All items being returned may be subject to a re-stocking charge.

Standard Parts Return
There will be a 15% restocking fee charged for parts returned within 10 days from the date of delivery to customer.  Parts must be unused, unopened and in original undisturbed packaging material to be eligible for a return.  Customer must obtain an RMA# from contacting 800-698-5754.   For orders returned after 30 days, but not later than 60 days, a 40% restocking fee will apply.

Parts selected by customer improperly can be exchanged for the correct part as long as the part is unused, unopened and in original undisturbed packaging.  There may be a cost differential on the newly requested part, additional labor and shipping charges.  These must be paid by customer before new part is shipped.  If credit is warranted, Credit will be issued within 10 days of inspection.

Used products or products missing any original parts are non-returnable.

Custom Fittings, Hose Assemblies and Non-stocked/Special Items
Orders for custom, assembled, special or non-stocking products are non-returnable unless found defective.  The Hose Company is the sole decision maker for what is considered defective.  If a product is found to be defective, please refer to the policy for Order Returns- defective part.

Any custom made hose assemblies were exclusively made according to your specifications.   The Hose Company and Thehosecompany.com will not offer the option of cancelling your order or returning the Custom Made Product unless the product is delivered in a defective, faulty or damaged condition.

Please note that labor, hose assembly and shipping charges are non-refundable.

Thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company is not liable if the product is damaged in transit.

Measurements: Custom Hose Length
To confirm your measurements please note hose lengths are from end of fitting to the other end of a fitting. For an elbow, the end of fitting for hose length is considered the midpoint of the bend.

By accepting the order when placed, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for the design of the ordered custom hose assembly.

Defective Parts
If you receive a defective product, you must notify Thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company within 2 days of delivery.  We will replace such products at no additional charge, including shipping costs.  For orders over 5 days, customer will be responsible for any shipping costs associated with the return.

For fastest replacement, we can place a new order for the replacement items and ship them out to you as soon as possible (you will be credited for the full amount of the original order when we receive your return).

If you do not place a new order, we will ship your replacement items after we receive your return.

All products must be returned in new and unused condition in the original packaging.  The RMA# must be clearly marked on the box.
All defective product must contain all packaging, parts and accessories that came along with it.

Incorrectly Shipped Parts
If you receive an incorrect product, you must notify The Hose Company within 2 days of delivery. 800-698-5754

For fastest replacement, we can place a new order for the replacement items and ship them out to you as soon as possible (you will be credited for the full amount of the original order when we receive your return).

If you do not place a new order, we will ship your replacement items after we receive your return.
All products must be returned in new and unused condition in the original packaging. The RMA form must be included in the box.
If the incorrect item(s) is reported after 5 days, thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company will not pay for the shipping costs associated with the return & replacement.

Missing Item
In the case of an order shipped incomplete, provide photo evidence of the packaging to The Hose Company.  Contact us at 800-698-5754.

Damaged In/During Transit

Freight Deliveries
Please inspect all freight packages carefully before signing for them. If a package looks damaged in any way as a result of the shipping process, do not sign for it and Refuse the delivery. 

Contact us immediately at
800-698-5754 with a description of the damage.  The Hose Company will contact the freight company and begin a claim so that we can send a new product to you right away.

If you are unsure whether the shipment looks damaged or not, please inspect it further and open it in front of the driver before signing that it has been received. It is your right as a customer to hold the driver for up to 15 minutes in order to fully inspect any freight package.

Any damage incurred during shipment will need to filed with the shipper.

UPS/FEDEX/DHL/USPS
If a damaged package is left at your door, please contact us immediately to set up the return for you. 800-698-5754

For fastest replacement, we can place a new order for the replacement items and ship them out to you as soon as possible.  Credit for the full amount of the original order will be posted within 10 days of when we receive your return.

If you do not place a new order, we will ship your replacement items after we receive your return.
All returned products must be unused and in the original packaging. Their must be an RMA# written on the return box/packaging.

Order Cancellations and Revisions

Thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company must be notified of all cancellations by phone within 2 hours of orders placed 800-698-5754.   
Orders can only be cancelled before they have shipped.

Thehosecompany.com is able to make changes to orders that have not yet been shipped ONLY if you contact us within 2 hours after placing the order.  Please be prepared with your order number.

Thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company attempt to ship orders as quickly as possible and your order could ship within a few hours of being placed. 
Unfortunately, we are unable to make any changes to an order once it has left our warehouse.

Sales Tax

Currently sales tax is only charged for customers receiving product within the state of North Carolina.  Companies located in North Carolina and are planning to purchase our products for resale must provide to The Hose Company their 595E Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement Certificate of Exemption.  If you are using the web for purchases and standing orders, you must upload your certificate to our website.  Please call 800-698-5754 for assistance.

Shipping Options

This rate is based on distance, weight and shipping urgency. If you have chosen a freight method that deems itself to be not appropriate based on these criteria thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company reserve the right to choose the best rate possible on the customer's behalf.  
  • Additional fees beyond standard ship rates are the responsibility of the customers.   
  • These additions may include: lift-gate, re-delivery, and residential delivery charges.
  • Most customer orders ship within 3 business days.  
  • We currently ship Monday- Friday 8amEST-5pmEST.  
  • Any holiday closures will be noted at the time of customer checkout.
URGENT REQUESTS please contact us at 800-698-5754 to confirm we can ship immediately. Once your order is shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation which will include tracking information.

Trademarks

All trademarks, service marks and trade names of thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company used in the site are trademarks or registered trademarks of thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company or suppliers and manufacturers to Thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company.

Typographical Errors

In the event that a product sold at the Thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company webstore is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. The right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged is held as company policy. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, thehosecompany.com and The Hose Company shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.
